i got a heads-up about a videogame themed art show, and thought HOLY HOT DOGS, i need to contribute. i got it in my head that i’d do an amaterasu piece (from okami)
two hours into my 3000-stitch project, i have….part of an ear. this is like sixty stitches! sixty stitches in two hours is no great feat, but keep in mind every cross-stitch is two different stitches. even then one hundred and twenty is not impressive either.

i need to have a finished piece to submit by october 19! i think this means i should work on the amaterasu as a personal fun project and pick something a bit simpler for my show piece. if i quit my job, i could definitely finish this big piece, but that’s kind of unlikely.
